Irving, Tx
Home of the Dallas Cowboys... The City of Irving covers over 65 square miles in the western portion of Dallas County.  The city has a railroad history, marking its beginnings with the building of the rail lines between Dallas and Ft. Worth, and has maintained this history in the character of its downtown area. Heritage Park is located at the core of the Heritage District, and includes an early train depot and caboose, a water tower, the Caster Cabin, an old windmill and a replica of an early gazebo.

With over 40 parks and recreation facilities, Irving offers its residents an abundance of nature trails, sports fields and family programs. Mountain Creek Preserve has a cricket court, horseshoe pit, equestrian riding area and canoe launch, while Fritz Park offers a petting zoo and amphitheatre. Other park amenities available include golf courses, an inline hockey rink, disc golf, picnic areas, volleyball areas and more.  Irving residents are served by three school districts, primarily the Irving Independent School District, which has an enrollment of 29,678. The state recognized district operates 18 elementary schools, seven middle schools and four high schools.
